About APQP
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is the structured new-product development framework required by IATF 16949 — the global automotive QMS standard. Every tier-1 and tier-2 supplier in the automotive supply chain must meet it.
APQP organises product launch across five phases and gate reviews, with FMEA, Control Plan, PFD and MSA as core deliverables. The output is the PPAP package — the evidence submitted to your OEM customer before start of production.
